For nearly a decade Richelle has worked with generalist and specialist auction houses as an administrator, cataloger, and appraiser. Her extensive auction house experience has allowed her to evaluate and manage all categories of Fine and Decorative Works of Art. Within furniture she has handled American furniture - including Nakashima, English Furniture, French Furniture - including by makers such as Francois Linke. Richelle’s Decorative Arts appraisal experience includes Chinese export porcelain and Silver, European Porcelain, American Pottery and all categories of Sterling Silver. She can handle certain paintings and works on paper as well as rugs and other general household contents.
Richelle has worked on appraisal projects for multiple large and cross category collections with total values within the millions of dollars. She has partnered with other appraisers to handle estates when other areas of expertise are needed.
While at The Potomack Company in Alexandria, Virginia Richelle started her formal education as a personal property appraiser under past president of the International Society of Appraisers, Todd Sigety. She studied Decorative Arts and Furnishings with ISA and continued with her ISA education until she reached certification, the highest level designation.
Richelle is fully qualified to perform appraisals for decorative arts and furnishings for all purposes. She is glad to assist with other decorative arts projects as needed.
